Series A investors
Series A is where cold outreach starts working differently. Funds at this stage run a real diligence process, so the email is not trying to win the round — it is trying to earn a first call against a bar that is now quantitative.
How to read these numbers: 1,000+ of the 5,000+ active investors in the database (20.7%) state an investment stage at all — most describe the sectors they fund and not the stage. The percentage above is therefore a share of those who said, not of every investor. Stages also overlap, because an investor writing “seed to Series A” is counted under both, so shares across all stages add up to more than 100%. No cheque-size figure is published anywhere on this page: cheque size is recorded for too few investors to report honestly.
How to approach this stage
By Series A the investor has a model in their head before they reply, and your email either populates it or does not. Growth rate, retention and a defensible unit economic are the three inputs. Sending a Series A fund a narrative-first email with no numbers reliably produces silence, because there is nothing for them to underwrite.
Warm introductions genuinely matter more here than at seed, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. What cold outreach does well at this stage is build the list you then try to get warm into — a fund that replied to a cold email, even with a pass, is a materially easier warm introduction three months later than one that has never heard your name.
Series A is the last stage in this database with enough tagged investors to describe honestly. Series B+ and late-stage tags exist but sit far below the threshold these pages require, which is itself informative: the database is built for founders raising early, and it would be misleading to present it as a growth-stage resource.
What else these investors tag themselves
Other stages listed by the same investors. A high overlap means the tag is a range rather than a fixed entry point, and that you should not exclude these investors when targeting an adjacent stage.

Individual investor records — firm, focus and each firm's own contact route — are not published on this page. Upload your deck and SendVC matches you against 5,000+ verified contacts — plus additional investors its AI finds and validates across the web for your specific startup, so the database is the floor of reach rather than the ceiling — then writes a personalized email per investor.
